Position Summary:
The prospective candidate should have a working knowledge of both Speech Recognition and Computer Algorithms and be able to learn about new technologies from original publications.
As a member of our Speech R&D team composed of Software Engineers and Speech Recognition Researchers, you will help define the algorithms and architecture used in our next generation of products.

Essential Functions:
The incumbent will be expected to use his/her programming skills to work with our team on research, technology development, and applications in speech recognition.

Acoustic models, Front-end signal processing, decoders, etc, based on our own state-of-the-art modular recognition toolkit
Training data per speaker varying from seconds to hundreds of hours – both transcribed and unsupervised.

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
Top-level awareness of all aspects of large vocabulary speech recognition
In-depth understanding of microphone arrays, front end processing, and acoustic modeling in state-of-the-art speech recognition.
C++, Java, Perl, or Python programming
Experience with both Linux and Windows
Experience participating in large software development projects.
Experience with large-scale LVCSR projects or evaluations is a definite plus
Enthusiasm to work directly on a real production system
